How To Enter the National Dance Week Photography Contest
All entries must include a high quality, hard copy of the
photograph (minimum 5x7, max 8x10), along with a cd containing a
high resolution copy of the photograph (300 dpi minimum)
Entries may be in black and white or color. Please do not send
photo copies
Submit your photos to: NDW 2008 Photography Contest, c/o Dance
Studio Life, P.O. Box
2150, Norton, MA 02766.
All entries must be accompanied by an
entry form (included below)
with name of the photographer, address, phone number, fax and
e‐mail address, along with the TITLE of the photograph affixed
to the back of each image.
All submissions to be returned require a self addressed and
stamped envelope sent in at the time of submission.
All entries must be
postmarked no later than April 1, 2009.

OFFICIAL RULES
1.
Judge's decision is final.
2.
Void where prohibited by law.
3.
Only one photograph may be submitted per household, per category.
4.
Photo submissions will be returned to you if you include a
self‐addressed, stamped envelope.
5.
Do not enclose photos in binders or mounted on paper.
6.
Only original work may be submitted. Models and any other
recognizable person(s) seen in the photograph must have agreed
to authorize the photographer to extend commercial use of the
image. Winning photographers will be asked to provide a model
release at the time of publication.
7.
No purchase necessary.
8.

9.
Employees of the Rhee Gold Company or
Dance Studio Life
and its
affiliated companies, agents, retailers, distributors,
suppliers, advertising and promotion agencies and their
immediate families are not eligible to win.
10.
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
11.
The prize winners will be required to sign and return any
applicable forms required by tax authorities and Rhee Gold
Company or
Dance Studio Life
within 30
days of notification or the prize will be forfeited.
12.
Prizes may not be transferred or assigned. Only the prizes
described in these Official Rules will be awarded. All
applicable federal, state and local taxes on the prize are the
winner's sole responsibility. Participants waive the right to
assert as a cost of winning any prizes and all costs of
verification and redemption of said prizes and any liability
which might arise from redeeming or seeking to redeem said
prizes. The prizes will be awarded only if participants comply
with these official rules.
13.
By participating and redeeming the prizes, the winners release Rhee
Gold Company or
Dance Studio Life, its affiliates and respective directors, officers,
employees and agents, including advertising and promotion
agencies, from any and all liability with respect to the prizes.
14.
By participating, winners agree to allow Rhee Gold Company or
Dance Studio Life
to post
their names and photograph online or in any print medium deemed
appropriate by the Rhee Gold Company or
Dance Studio Life
without
further compensation.
15.
Except where prohibited, by accepting prizes the winners agree to
the use of their names, addresses and/or photographs, videotapes
or any likenesses and biographical information for
advertising or publicity purposes and to the use of statements
made by or attributed to the
prize
winners relating to the Rhee Gold Company or
Dance Studio Life
and any
and all rights to said use without further compensation.
16.
Photos must be the property of the entrant and may not have been
nationally published or be under consideration for publication
or prizes elsewhere.
17.
All photographs will become the property of NDW and
Dance Studio Life
jointly;
they may be used by the National Dance Week or
Dance Studio Life
at their discretion in promotional activities which may
include, but are not limited to: website display, screensaver or
wallpaper entry, press releases etc. The Rhee Gold Company or
Dance Studio Life
also
retains the right to use winning photos for their own editorial
or promotional purposes without compensation to the photographer
but will credit the photographer with any further such use of
the photos after return of the signed release. In addition, the
Rhee Gold Company or
Dance Studio Life, at their discretion, retains the right to provide the
winning photos to outside organizations who wish to publish or
display them. In this instance, the Rhee Gold Company or
Dance Studio Life
will
require that the photos appear with credit to the photographer
as well as the Rhee Gold Company or
Dance Studio Life.
18.
Photographer retains copyright of the photograph, and is permitted
to include a one line "blending" (muted to the background)
copyright line in the lower right corner of the photograph which
may not extend more than 25% left of the right start line of the
image. Font size must be 8 or lower.
19.
Photographs will be judged on the basis of their originality,
imagination, and ability to capture the spirit of dance.
20.
Entrants must be able to provide original transparencies, negative
or print if requested.
By participating in the contest, you agree to abide by and be
bound by these Official Rules, and it is your responsibility to
ensure that you have so complied. The determination of the
winners will be final and binding in all matters relating to
this contest. For the names of the winners (available after June
1,
