When
A Man Has Danced
By Jeannie Rizzo
For a
man to dance,
He must
feel the thunder
Of the
music that plays
In his
soul…
He must
move to the beat
Of the
sounds of his life
Until
every half note
Is made
whole…
He must
dance with his laughter,
Leap
with his joy,
Move
slowly
Through
sadness and strife…
For the
rhythms are emotions
That
pulse in his heart,
The
expressions
Of love
and of life.
I am a
man
Who has
felt the thunder
Of the
music that sings
In my
soul…
I have
moved to the beat
Of the
sounds of my life
Until
every half note
Was made
whole…
I have
danced with great laughter,
Leaped
high with joy,
Moved
slowly
Through
sadness and strife…
And the
rhythms and emotions
That
have throbbed in my heart
I’ve
expressed with my love
And my
life.
When a
man has danced,
He has
heard the thunder,
And the
music
Becomes
part of his soul…
He has
followed the drumbeat
Of the
sounds of his life
And has
seen each half note
Become
whole…
He has
danced with the laughter
Of
life’s greatest joy,
Moved
slowly
Through
sadness and strife…
And the
rhythms and emotions
Have
opened his heart,
For the
dance
Has been
part of his life!
