Words from our readers
I am Debbie
Lamontagne’s son, Leo [Thank You For Being A Friend,
October 2006]. I am in Chicago dancing with the Jump Rhythm
Jazz Project, and following my Mom by teaching youngsters how
to tap dance. I have followed the story online through your
website and through the newspapers. I am hearing such great
things about my Mom, and it is making me quite homesick. I am
so proud of her. People are even talking about it here, 1,000
miles away. I knew she was a great lady before all of this
happened, and I thank you for letting other people see it as
well. When I talk to her about it still today, she always
tells me how it was no big deal. We both know how big of a
deal it was and I thank you for pointing it out. My voice
doesn’t have as much weight as she hears it all the time. But
you, being the strong person in the industry that you are,
made my Mom feel special, and I can’t thank you enough. Thanks
so much, Rhee!

Thank you
for all the wonderful information you supply. It is great. We
always find articles in the magazine that we can use. We deal
with seven instructors, all in college or high school. Talk
about drama and schedules. Between the schedules and
activities that the instructors are involved with in college
and high school, someone (most of the time multiples) has
issues. Our most challenging and very important job as studio
directors and board members is to not only teach our students,
but to teach and mold our young instructors into the best that
they can be in the classroom, and to be responsible and
dependable young adults that will truly make a difference in a
child’s life and in turn be ready for the world when and if
they leave the studio.
Thanks
again. We read faithfully . . . always looking and retaining
that next parcel of information. Rhee is always a topic at our
board meetings. In talking about an issue, it usually gets
around to “Rhee Gold says . . .” and the problem is solved!!!
Thanks!

Goldrush
magazine surpasses all others out there. It is truly for us
teachers. The website [www.thedanceteacherstore. com] is
fantastic – I have ordered music and DVDs – great selection.
The articles in Goldrush have always been interesting
and informative – a great resource for new teachers starting
out and for established schools. There’s always something to
learn in Goldrush – and our studio is celebrating 80
years this season. Rhee Gold
has done a fantastic job.

Just a note
to thank you for all that you do. I have spent the last three
years going to college, as we find that even the best dance
credentials are not enough these days. I am trying to get a
job teaching dance in the public school system (one I have
worked at as an aide in the Musical Theatre department for the
last five years, producing two musicals a year!) I have a
small studio and use it to feed the high school program.
Just wanted
to say, you always were and continue to be a real visionary
for dance. After getting your August Goldrush, I
completely revised my ad, and sent a great postcard. Responses
are still coming in!! Please keep up the good work.

I read your
story on new studio owners [First Steps To Success,
August 2006] and would like to say “thank you.” I am opening a
new studio in Swampscott, MA and am terrified, but very
excited. I am 41 years old and this has been a lifelong dream
of mine. I fulfilled my first dream of being a mom and now
took the leap of being a studio owner.
Goldrush
always has stories that reach home, and I appreciate that.
Just a big thank you to Rhee Gold and all the staff at
Goldrush.

I didn’t
make it to this year’s Project Motivate because I felt I
couldn’t afford it. Now, I am kicking myself realizing that I
really can’t afford not to go . . . Thank goodness for the
Goldrush magazine! Thank you for all you do!
