Marcia
Aller
is a
member of the Cechetti Council of America, the Professional
Dancers Society, and a past president of Dance Masters of
America. She directed her school in Wyandotte, MI for more than
40 years. She is the creator of the Dance Game, a unique board
game designed to increase knowledge of dance and performance.
Tracy
Bauer
Tracy
Bauer, author of The Definitive Guide to Dance Studio
Marketing, has worked in marketing and public relations in
the performing arts since 1992, and is an instructor of ballet
and jazz in Massachusetts. A graduate of the DMA Teacher
Training School, Bauer holds a degree in business and
marketing from Miami
University.

Rhee Gold grew up in dance studios and later operated his own,
performed and choreographed professionally,
owned a leading dance competition, presided over national dance
teaching organizations, and founded Project Motivate to
reinvigorate dance teachers for the long run. His recent book,
The Complete Guide to Teaching Dance is currently in its second
printing.
Diane
Gudat is
from Indianapolis, IN, where she has owned her own school, The
Dance Company, Inc., since 1979. She is the author of four books
on dance education, including
Acrobatics for the Dance Studio,
and
The
Time Step Dictionary.
Gudat has served as a faculty member to the DMA, DTCB, FDM and
the CNADM Teachers Training Schools.
The
director of dance centers in Worcester and Westborough, MA,
Charlotte Klein is a member of DMA, where she has served
at both the national and New England levels. She is a cum
laude graduate of Worcester [MA] State College, where she also
received an Honorary Doctorate (Doctor of Humane Letters), and
is a board member of the Worcester State College Foundation

than 20 years, Alice Korsick owned her own studio. Now
based in Arizona, she is a teacher, choreographer, and
competition judge nationwide. Her performance credits include
the original Broadway productions of The Music Man and
How to Succeed in Business…, and she has worked for
choreographers including Bob Fosse, Agnes DeMille, and Onna
White.
Elaina Loveland
is a former dance teacher and author of

Sandra
Mihaloff
owned her
own insurance agency from 1979 to 1999, when she joined Markel
Insurance Company. She currently manages Markel’s Health &
Fitness Unit, which provides insurance for Dance, Martial
Arts, Gymnastics, and Performing Arts, programs. Sandra is a
licensed agent for Life & Health and Property & Casualty. She
earned her B.A. and M.A. from Western
Michigan University in Special Education.
Judy
Rice
is an Associate Professor of Dance at the University of
Michigan, is on the faculty of Joffrey Midwest Workshop, and
on the core faculty for DMA Teacher Training School. She is
Vice President of Behind Barres, a company that produces CDs

Karen
Wells
has been the CEO and Director of The First Step, Creative
Exercise for Children since its inception in 1987. A
contributing author for leading industry publications and
speaker at international trade conferences, Karen is certified

Debbie
Werbrouck,
MDE, has directed three Indiana locations of Debbie
Werbrouck’s School of Dance for 38 years, and is the founder
and director of Patchwork Dance Company. A former faculty
member of St. Mary’s College, Notre Dame, IN, and past
president of Chicago National Association of Dance Masters,
Werbrouck is currently cochair of the dance coalition, UNITY.

Nancy
Wozny
was a NEA
fellow at the Institute for Dance Criticism at the American
Dance Festival and a 2004 recipient of the Gary Parks Memorial
Award for Emerging Dance Critics. Her work has appeared in
Dance
Magazine, The Houston Chronicle, Artshouston,
and several other publications. She is also a guild certified
practitioner of the Feldenkrais Method.®
Tracey
Zimmerman
has been a performer, teacher, and choreographer
for the past 15 years. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts
degree in Dance from the University at Buffalo where she was a
member of the prestigious Zodiaque dance company. Some of her
other performance credits include principle and ensemble roles
in regional theater productions of Swing!, Copacabana,
Guys and Dolls, Fiddler, Funny Girl, and
Cats.
